For baby girls room

Following trends isn't something I normally do, but having the name in the room is too cute an idea. Of course, I couldn't see spending a load of money on having someone do it so I did it myself.... I painted the background on wood squares and found the letters at Michaels for $1 a letter and glued them on. The flowers/circles are
scrapbooking stickers. I'm pretty happy with the result. Completed Oct 09 I think.

More art for the shower

So for the babie's grandma's and what will be her immediate aunts, I made name tags for them to wear at the shower, they had magnets on the back so they could be put on fridges later.

From baby shower last year

So my baby shower was this past saturday. For a thank you for my sil's, my mil, my mom and bestfriend who put it on..... I painted up some paper mache frames I picked up at Hobby Lobby

From back in 08

So it's just a little 10" x 7", colored pencil 'painting' for the babies room. It matches the theme of the bedding & such. I plan on matting it with a pale green velour matboard, that I have left over from my days of working in the Michael's Frame shop.

Now I just need to take a picture and post the hat and mary janes I crocheted

and a little sculpture I did uh, way back in July.

No, procrastination isn't my middle name, why do you ask? :)

I begin

Again, this blog will be for my artistic endeavors with sculpting and drawings.
Once the new year begins I plan on doing an art 365, where I post at least a sketch every day! We'll see how far we get on that.

Jumping in with both feet

As Martel so put it last night. I'm about to tread where no one in my family (this doesn not include inlaws) has tread before, Knit land....some mini mochi in Fern
and a supposedly easy pattern called feathers and fan. Did I mention I need this done by the 12th of Dec. Plus I still need to finish the Hub's blanket - which is crocheted. Nineteen 4 1/2" squares to go, then sew on to blanket oh and add a border. I guess I need to get my fingers flying.

Retail Therapy

So while work was okay yesterday, apparently it was the 'Day of the Homecoming Parades" where I live. Every way to my house was blocked off, so i decided to go to the library (in another township) guess what was closed do to another homecoming parade, ARGGGGHHHH.
So I ended up in the yarn store for a little retail therapy, so I didn't get even more agitated and stab someone with the knitting needles I'm learning to use. Bought a pattern for socks and sock yarn. Now I just need to learn to knit.

Zo and tell

Pics of the Zo in the smock I made.

I do believe the face she's making in

one is due to her diaper showing.

Shoes

So I crocheted some lil' ballet slippers to match the sweater Martel made Zoe.

Without further ado...
